Students from Bel Eau Primary School, Plaisance Primary School, English River Primary School and Belonie Secondary School participated in a creative art activity entitled “The Town’s Fish Art Project”, aimed at beautifying Victoria and creating a more colourful backdrop for the National Day celebrations. As part of Seychelles’ 50th Independence Jubilee celebrations, the Office of the Mayor of Victoria, working closely with the Landscape and Waste Management  Agency (LWMA) and the National Day Committee, launched a symbolic Jubilee Tree Planting Ceremony at the State House, demonstrating strong collaboration for a sustainable future. Residents and visitors travelling through Victoria are once again enjoying the welcoming glow of fully illuminated Independence Avenue, following recent repair works carried out on several lampposts in the area. The initiative follows a series of scouting exercises conducted by the Mayor’s Office to identify locations across the capital that require improved lighting and maintenance.
